SCAFFWORKS Scaffolding Industry LLC ("SCAFFWORKS", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit scaffworks.com, use our online tools (such as the BOQ Builder and Rental Calculator), or contact us about scaffolding manufacturing, sales, rental, or engineering services. It also explains how we use that information and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

SCAFFWORKS Scaffolding Industry LLC is a scaffolding manufacturer and rental company licensed in the United Arab Emirates, with operations in Umm Al Quwain and customers across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah. We are the data controller for personal information you provide through our website and digital tools.

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you request a quote, send a WhatsApp message, fill out a form, use the BOQ Builder, or otherwise communicate with us, you may give us:

• Your name and the company or contractor name you represent
• Phone number, email address, or WhatsApp number
• Project information — site location, project type, scaffolding or formwork quantities, schedule, scope notes
• Billing and delivery information when you place an order or rent equipment
• Any other information you choose to share in messages, BOQ notes, or attachments

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you browse scaffworks.com, our servers and analytics tools collect technical information automatically. This may include:

• Your device's IP address and approximate location (city or region level)
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Pages visited, time spent, referring website, and links clicked
• Anonymous tool-usage data — for example, which catalog items were added to a BOQ before export

2.3 Information stored locally in your browser

The BOQ Builder uses your browser's localStorage to save a draft BOQ between visits. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to send the BOQ to us via the "Request Quote" button. You can clear it any time by clicking "Clear all" in the tool or by clearing your browser's site data.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Respond to quotes, enquiries, and service requests
• Prepare quotations, contracts, invoices, and delivery schedules
• Provide and improve our online tools (BOQ Builder, Rental Calculator, blog content)
• Send transactional messages about your enquiry, order, or rental — by email, phone, or WhatsApp
• Analyse website usage to improve performance, fix bugs, and prioritise content
• Comply with applicable laws, prevent fraud, and protect our legitimate business interests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, or for as long as UAE law requires us to keep it. As a rule of thumb:

• Quote enquiries that do not lead to a contract: typically up to 24 months
• Customer records, contracts, and invoices: retained for the period required by UAE commercial and tax law (typically 5 years)
• Website analytics: aggregated and anonymised after 26 months

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

8. How we protect information

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, secure backups, and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit risk.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Ask us to delete your personal information where we have no continuing lawful reason to keep it

10. International transfers

Some of our service providers (for example, email and analytics platforms) are located outside the UAE. When we transfer information outside the UAE, we do so under safeguards consistent with applicable law, including standard contractual clauses and recognised adequacy frameworks where relevant.

11. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business customers (contractors, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams) and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through our website or by direct communication. Continued use of our website after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
